What is Do not disturb mode
Do not disturb mode is simply the best option in smartphones to ignore the calls or notifications.
It has been seen that when you need time to get relax, you don’t want to attend anyone’s call. Not only calls, if you don’t want to listen the notification sound, this feature of Do not disturb might help.
This is different than silent mode where you will mute the sound of phone, but in DnD you have customization options so you still get notification sound or call even if DnD is turned on.
To simply more, in silent mode you don’t have any option to allow some numbers to ring during call but In “Do Not Disturb” Mode you can customize to allow some numbers to ring during call or messages and for all other numbers the phone will remain silent.
You can simply turn on the do not disturb feature and your smartphone will not ring, vibrate or make sound even if any message comes. However the caller will listen the ringing.
This helps in the distraction and you can focus on your work. Mostly people prefer it while watching movies, or attending business meeting or creating projects.
Remember that, if phone is on do not disturb and same caller call you again within 3 minutes (you can again change the settings), then this time phone will ring.
